Surfing Brothers, Giclee Print

Slim Aarons is an American photographer known for capturing (in his own words) ‘attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places.’ By winning the trust of his subjects, he was able to shoot some of the most intimate and candid portraiture of the 20th century.

This photograph was taken in 1965, and depicts Freddie and Howard Cushing surfing with their friends at Bailey’s Beach in Newport, California. Their father is credited with introducing the sport to the club in the 1930’s.

This giclee print is available in a range of sizes, and is part of an open edition, stamped by the publisher.

The images in the Slim Aarons collection have slightly different sizes, this is quite common for photography that was shot in analogue as opposed to digital.

The print dimensions provided refer to the paper size, including the white border, and not to the printed area.

In some instances we may be able arrange for prints to have exactly the same measurements of the printed area (at an additional charge). If you require this service please contact the gallery.
