For Lost Souls II Baldwin dispenses with the convention of the focal point. Instead, he splashes fragmented images across the print in a composition of controlled chaos: a cartoon character over here and a steam train over there; drips of pigment splattered here, a plastic doll hanging there, even a tiny golden hand grenade, hovering in print-space. "It's about movement, form and feeling" Baldwin says, and you can feel it: a translation of the musical into the visual, for a work of pure emotive expression.
